The story of your Stone Letters…

Six small stones featuring real pressed wildflowers, nestled in a recycled cardboard box of wood wool and dried flower confetti, with accompanying flower meanings or ‘floriography’ - the language of flowers.

Your pressed wildflower beach stones speak the language of floriography and folklore, and were handmade with love in Dorset.

In ancient Japan, before the invention of writing, people would search for the stones that resembled their feelings and give them to one another.

The recipient would read the other person’s feelings by the weight and texture of the stone. The language was called Stone Letters.

Your hand-picked stones will include some of the following pressed flowers:

🌾Hydrangeas symbolise heartfelt, honest emotion and gratitude.

🌾Pansies are known as the ‘thoughtful flower’ and symbolise free-thinking, loving memory and affection.

🌾Cornflowers symbolise fortune and friendship.

🌾Farewell to Spring represents enthusiasm and charm.

🌾Forget-me-nots symbolise true love and fidelity.

🌾Radish flowers symbolise positive changes in luck, romance and health.

🌾Buttercups symbolise lightness and joy.
